AFCON 2023-2024: We did not have a good match says Vincent Aboubakar. Even though many Cameroonians were happy about the outcome of the CAN TotalEnergie 2023-2024, much is still expected from the Lions and the team captain Vincent Aboubakar is very well aware of that.
Being the Man of the match after his two goals all scored from penalty shots, Vincent Aboubakar is not convinced by the performance of his teammates and him. According to him, they did not provide good football giving the quality of the team they have.
The Team Captain of the Indomitable Lions thinks they have to play better in front of the home crowd. « We owe it to ourselves to gain momentum from the next game because today we did not have a good game. » He said.
« We must wake up on the collective level. It’s a small detail because we have some really good players. I don’t know if it’s the pressure, but what I do know is that we have a quality group to do it. From the next match we have to show another face » He added.
