A Swiss Company makes an Offer to Cameroon to enhance ICT Education in Primary Schools. The company is to offer word treatment and office management software worth one billion US dollars.
The initiative was presented to Prime Minister – Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute during the audience he accorded the Minister of Basic Education, Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa and representatives of the Swiss firm, CAROUSEL FINANCE in Yaoundé.
Gleb Cheglakov, speaking on behalf of the Swiss company explained that the company is proposing to offer a software known as MY Office Suite for use in primary schools in the country within a period of 10 years.
To him, a successful education in today’s world is one which incorporates the mastery of basic computer skills such as the treatment of text, data processing at the base among other basics.
He added that the vision of their firm is to proposed for the computer solutions in primary schools in Cameroon.
Representatives of the Swiss company explained Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute that a protocol agreement with the Minister of Basic Education, Laurent serge Etoundi Ngoa will pave the way to kick start the process of providing the MY Office suite to primary schools across Cameroon.
The software developed by a Russian company is in the process of international expansion.
The project is worth 1 billion dollars.
