GCE 2020 Cameroon: Candidates are becoming inpatient as results are still to be released. Even though the 2020/2024-2025 academic year is at the corner.
The General Certificate Education, GCE results will soon be released and many candidates can’t stop themselves from being inpatient.
And owing to the delay, many have witnessed an increase in the number of fake GCE Results 2020 circulating on different groups and channels online.
According to Munjoh Jacob, an advanced level GCE examiner, “The marking session ended officially on Tuesday 22nd of September with the marking of GCE A level paper 3.
This means that other administrative work that involves the compilation of the results and the grading is on and results expected surely before the 5th of October 2020.
The problem surrounding the GCE 2020 Release Date
The Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board known as Cameroon GCE Board before 2019 has always been the official body responsible for setting public examinations, marking them, and distributing results for the anglophone subsection of education in Cameroon secondary schools.
The exam is written by students of the forms 5 and Upper Sixth as the Odinary Leve GCE and Advanced Level prespectively.
And following the 2019 Presidential decree on the reorganization of the GCE Board, the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board equally awards the following certificates:
- Intermediate Technical Certificate (ITC)
- Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC)
- Advanced Professional Certificate (APC).
Normally results for the GCE are released in August ending but owing to the Coronavirus outbreak, the exams were taken late and therefore considering the time needed to perform all necessary corrections, this year’s GCE results will be released late.
